Madcap: Castillo Real Hotel is my favorite hotel in St. Augustine Beach also! IMO, the quality of their accommodations is far above any other hotel in the beach area. They have a wonderful restaurant in the hotel, La Cocina. For anyone interest in learning more:, links for more information on the hotel and restauant are Castillo Real - St. Augustine Beach Hotel and

This mornings photo of the St Johnsr River..no foam noticed anywhere, from Riverside to the Landing, not even up against the bulkheads.

We totally enjoyed our stay at the Castillo Real (as we always do) I didn't take the camera out in the rain at the Night of Lights, but I did really like looking at all the lit up trees and buildings. Sunday we got out on the beach at about 6:30 AM and took a lot of sunrise pic's then we ate breakfast at La Cocina, and then for lunch we went to Playa Chac Mool (best Mexican in St Aug)105 D street about 1/2 mile south of Castillo Real. and saw a couple of the runners struggling north on A-1-A Beach Blvd. Great getaway and a great weekend too. We'll be back down there for the First Friday Art Walk 12/2 and staying till Sunday as we are meeting an artist (Philip Anthony) that my wife wants to buy a painting from at the Coleman James Signature gallery in the Casa Monica Hotel. We might stay at the Casa Monica on this trip.

Yeah it is real troubling someone needs to start a federal investigation into this, before it becomes permanent.

^Thanks^ No Foam Today 05-Dec-11. We took the boat down to the Landing last night for dinnner and didn't see any foam then either, even against the bulkheads. Maybe the foam is a warm water thing!
