Well I'm loving these daily shots, so if I can keep 'em coming, I'll be happy to say I don't get the hint.

This mornings ''rainy'' river photo with No Foam Present taken from my patio. The only ones enjoying the river this morning are the Cormorants.

NO RIVER FOAM behind my place today 13-Dec-11

BUT there is River Foam in the Downtown Area from The Fuller Warren Bridge to the Acosta Bridge I did not go past the Acosta Bridge though so it may also be down at the Landing!

Behind the Haskell Bldg on Riverside Ave.

Behind the Riverside YMCA

Behind the Riverside Womans Club

Behind the Fla Times Union Building

My theory is when it rains alot(like yesterday) it must wash some foaming substance into the river. Notice no rain the last couple of weeks and no foam, so it must be some lawnscapping application that's washed into the river!

Could the foam be caused by rain washing away grey water that has been unlawfully discharged onto the ground and not into septic tanks. Several years ago, when I was looking at homes for sale with septic tanks, I was surprised at how many were obviously discharging almost all grey water onto the ground.

No idea really where it comes from and it seems scientist that have been researching it for a few years are baffled as well.

Is it the same as the sea foam we get at the beaches?
