The very wide spread clan has descended on southern CA and Vegas. Basically we are spread from Portland to the North of London.

My three well grown daughters came to stay with Doreen and I. Been a couple of decades since all of us have been together.

Guess what...on the second day of my regular four day IVIG infusions I collapse on leaving the infusion center. After trying to fix it with oxygen and time the oncologist at the center tells us either we agree to go to the ER at Mountain View or he will call 911 and have me hauled there. So we agreed to go to the ER.

Awful turnout. Hit the ER and they start testing...and they find all sorts of stuff. End up with an arteriogram. And that leads immediately to the placement of two stents including one for a bad and major blockage.

So my three daughters show up for the Palms Spring funeral and end up supporting my spouse as I go through the follow up to the Arteriogram.

Mountain View let me loose late yesterday afternoon. And, wonders of wonders, I actually got a full nights sleep for the first time in five days.

My daughters turned out to be marvelous helpers. They are all substantial females and it is clear that the 3 of them can pick me up and haul me around. And they are glad to do it letting up a substantial load on my spouse.

So tomorrow I am going to attempt to leave the house. Likely to our neighborhood Japanese restaurant. Please good wishes or prayers as you prefer.
Wow. Talk about bad timing. I wish you a speedy recovery!

@ lvmensch:

I wish you a quick full recovery.
I had the balloon angioplasty procedure in 1995.

Condolences on the loss of your brother.

Also sorry to hear about your recent health issues. Hope you feel better soon
and are able to get out to your favorite Japanese restaurant again. Glad your daughters
were here to help out!

Well it continues. Had discussions today with both of the cardiologists. Almost an agreement but I will referee. Basically the discussion is when to implant aw pacemaker. I think it will end up 3 or 4 months at as my primary cardiologists insists not to do it until the 2 stents have 3 or 4 months to heal. He points out that at the moment all is stable and there is no emergency. I agree.

Today however was an interesting trip. Anybody who does not believe Las Vegas is back needs to drive in the afternoon. The 15 along the strip was a disaster. And some of the roads in nice Henderson were not much better.

So we ended up at the Doctor's office at Carnegie and Horizon Ridge. Dark as we arrived and as we got out of the car there was a huge clap of thunder. Followed by both of us being hit by half a dozen drops of half inch rain. Felt exactly like the start of a heavy thunderstorm. But in true LV fashion it stopped aqnd went away. Did not see another drop there and on our way home. A 30 second thunderstorm.

So it did rain - but not to much affect..

Last night, we went downtown to catch an 8pm stand-up comedy set at The Plaza Hotel & Casino, and to go outside at 10pm to see their "50th Anniversary Fireworks)". It was pretty amazing. They shot fireworks off the top of he Plaza. We were standing in the street outside and were DIRECTLY UNDERNEATH. It was pretty awesome.

Afterwards, we walked over to Circa just to see it. To get inside (from Fremont Street Experience) you have to show your driver's license; I'm not sure why. It looks very nice. We looked at the "Stadium Swim" by going up a 3-story tall escalator. Quite impressive.

Saginaw's Deli looks to be a good place to eat the next time we are downtown.

It's an adults only property. You have to be 21 to even walk through the door.

Yah, people always ask me what the heck is going on at Circa and why everyone is being carded. I tell them it's the newest hotel without thinking about it being adults only. That was until Resort World opened.
