I love the rain. The more the better. I would trade with you if I could.

I grew up in the Pacific Northwest across the big river next to beldsoe. The constant overcast days takes its toll on your mentality.

Pinkstring,

You moving to Vegas and loving the rain would be like me moving to the northern part of Alaska and hating the cold. You know what I mean. We all love you here, but I do think you are in the wrong city. One of the reasons I wanted to live here was the fact it almost never rains here. Even Phoenix rains too much for me.

I think the rain is great, very refreshing, washes away a lot of the crud and dirt and grime

The rain is making me homesick actually, I miss my daily afternoon heavy thunderstorms in Orlando, now I know why its so clean there

Vegas is clean as far as Im concerned, its just all the desert dust that makes things dirty

LVD you should move to the Atacama desert in South America, where it rains .1 inches a year or maybe the Sahara Desert in Africa? How does living near the Pyramids of Egypt sound?

You and Pinkstring were most likely born in a rainy climate. I think Connecticut for you if I remember right. I was born in the desert which makes me a lizard. I will never like the rain, although I do not hate it as much as I used to. As much as I love the desert, I do not want to go to the terrible places you posted. If I did leave, I would like to move to Australia. That is about it.

I did it, I tested out yesterday!!! I got a big round of applause from the class, since our instructor Ms. Harris said that the who class was a struggle for me. It was, I'm not a mechanical person. Give me my languages any day of the week. I went down to the Donovan DMV after class, and got my instruction permit. I start on the range on Monday, working on pre-trip inspections. I need to go back for doubles & triples, and eventually hazmat. We'll be getting our passport cards too.

I'm back living with sistwerp and her icehole husband. It's worse that it was before, but at least I'm not living on a park bench. I'm sleeping on the floor, w/o a pillow, but I can get a couple from Erik, I think. I have to go to the library, if I want to get online. I have to keep the door to "my" room open, so that the cats (seven, nice, but I miss my iggies) can come in to use their cat boxes. At least they're quiet, and don't bug me when I'm sleeping.

I'm visiting the Henderson library, since the anime club that I used to go to supposedly moved up here, but they've moved again. Sigh...I'm going to have to another club.

If haven't come down yet, please bring some Burgerville, no Spread. I've heard so many things about them, but I haven't been up that way yet. I'll probably visit the area during my externship with Covenant, but it's been awhile since I had a decent burger.

I'll try to get on as often as I can. Icehole b-i-l won't let me online at the apartment, and expects me to find a job within three weeks, or he'll kick me out. Hello, I'm giving you $400 per month starting next month?

Un flipping real, ne?

And the fight started in the men's room???? What was that about? The age-old 'mine is bigger than yours' fight???

Aqualung, are you a fellow linguist? I am and I stuggle with anything on the mathmatical or techincal side. My husband is the reverse, has the mechanics down, but can't grasp new languages. People that usually excell in one of those areas, struggle with the other.......so congratulations

I don't know them...they may be as terrible as you say "but" I wouldn't want someone I was helping to get too comfortable at my house especially if they were known to not be motivated to get out and get their own place.

One thing I learned well as a child/young adult...when you live under someone else's roof you live by their rules...if you don't like it get your own place. It's that simple.
