With the Mega Lottery madness, there is one thing that cracks me up. The first question asked sees to be "If you won would you quit your job?" Ok, really? Why even ask that question! My answer is "DUH!!!"

You might be surprised. The majority of the jackpot winners I meet around town all say they want to stay at their jobs. I've even asked "if you won 10x this amount would you still work?" and they say yes.

The trend generally as you might guess is folks who

1. Don't play a lot of money. Lots of them win off $5-40 within the first few spins on the machine.

2.Are already pretty satisfied with their lives. Not attached to winning or losing.

Yes, that would be the obvious conclusion.

But.... just think how much fun you could have knowing that you do not need your job anymore?????? And have millions to play with???

As a teacher I would start by hiring a support staff, having catered lunches delivered, filling my classroom with the latest technology and pretty much doing whatever I wanted. I would definitely be fired within a week, but it would be worth it!!

Hmmm, maybe hire a film crew to film the whole thing!!!

I am very satisified in my job. It's going really well. I love the hours, and I get summers off, pretty much. But it's in IOWA. I don't want to live in a cold weather state anymore. I'd move as soon as the money hit my bank account. No question. And anyone who knows me would surely have me committed if I didn't leave ASAP! (it's not a secret I hate winter)

Would I "work" after winning? Probably, but doing somehting of my own choosing. Something with animals, most likely. But only after an extended amount of travelling and shopping was complete. And I think the "work" would be very part time unless floating in a pool with a cocktail is "work" then I would be doing that full time!
