I have a leather lounge chair, 2 couches, 3 living room tables, a bedroom set and a dining set from bobs. All but the dining room table have some kind of break or issue. It's been 7 months.
Had a friend buy one of their lower end living room sets. I think it was cloth with recliners built in and they love the set. It's better than the 1st set they bought when they first got married, which they paid a pretty penny for and fell apart within a couple of years.
I have read so many bad reviews that I am afraid to consider Bob's. Their sofa's are attractive and some are very comfortable but the reviews say that the sofa's won't hold up to everyday heavy use. Is there anyone out there who can tell me anything about the sofa's in terms of the seat cushions? Someone who has a sofa from Bob's and has used it more than a year and a half that can comment on the cushions and sagging? New stuff hasn't yet passed the test of time so I need to know what people think?

We just bought a bedroom set from Raymour and Flanigan and are happy with it. Real wood, great detail, seems to be nicely built.
I'll try to respond to both in one section:
We have a BDF living room set (2 loveseats, sofa, tables, etc) and bedroom set (bed, dresser, chest, etc).
Bobs has some good furniture and some bad furniture. There bedroom sets start at a few hundred to a few thousand. My wife and I got their solid mahogany set. Aside from the cedar bottoms, the ENTIRE PIECE IS SOLID. Not fiberboard, or veneer, or pine with the fronts stained mahogany, the whole thing including the drawer sides is made from boards. Similarly, their living room and kitchen sets do the same thing. They start low with plywood/veneer and build up from their. You can get a crummy couch, or you can buy a top grain leather couch.
That said, their prices are extremely reasonable compared to any other furniture store, and the other stores want to sell you plyboard for the same prices BDF had solids for.
So far we had a problem with the stitching coming out of a seat thanks to a dog jumping on, and a small trim piece that just needed some glue after a few years.
