As for me:
Driver's License: I get it at my PO Box every 8 (or is it 10?) years.
Credit Cards: Ditto
Bank cards: Given directly to me at the bank.
Jury Duty: Goes to my PO box. I've gotten one at home as well and I really don't care WHAT time that comes!
Library card: Given directly to me at the library. I don't think you can apply online since they need to see ID (such as a DL). If I were to renew online, it would go to my PO Box.

Aimsi, you misread my post. I didn't say that I couldn't wait. In fact, I am another one who does not retreive my mail daily. I also used to have a box at a UPS store where I got my mail. These are the important documents that I do receive in the post as opposed to being able to obtain online.
I don't think I would want to wait too long to get my driver's license out of the mail, especially if it's close to its expiration date. A NYS driver's license has to be renewed every 8 years as you stated. Credit cards usually expire every 1-3 years, depending on your card.
I listed signature cards from an
online bank. You can't sign them at a branch. There are time limits to return them if it's a new account.
The
New York Public Library, not a Nassau or Suffolk library, permits applications for cards online if you live outside of the 5 boroughs. However, the card is mailed to the address provided on your application. Any NYS resident is eligible and I use it far more than my local library.
