Totally agree monster the way this whole thing was handled was a complete train wreck for NYS confusing everyone from parents to school boards. Ridiculous.

Not even just high schoolers what about younger kids on weekends or at sports!

Yup - but HSers are literally leaving campus in the middle of the day and then back to wear masks "for safety".

Our NCDHHS secretary also came out with this gem "most HS kids can't be vaccinated because the vaccine is only approved for those over the age of 16". What? The cutoff here in NC is August 31 to start school....most kids are 16 sometime in their SOPHOMORE year. (This was obv before they approved it for the lower age range).
