Was at the mall yesterday and the number of masks was very small.

I was at FedEx today and I asked the staff if they preferred I masked, they said no they didn’t care.

Some restaurants are dropping reservations and just letting customers walk in.

It's funny because most of the places I go about half the employees are masked. And then there's an article in the local news today about how frightened retail and grocery workers are about the mask mandate being dropped. OK.

at the stop and shop by me the sign says we strongly suggest wearing a mask for safety reasons but if you are fully vaccinated you don't have to.

One of the things that was cemented for me this past year is that all media are not trusted sources of information. We talk to restaurant staff all the time and they either don’t care or just will consider the mask as part of their uniform. So far I’ve yet to meet a restaurant worker who was “frightened” given they have been serving unmasked customers for months.

I read that LI has a total of 126 Covid cases out of 3 million people right now. The chances of you getting it in public is slim to none.

They aren’t even reporting cases here anymore. That tells me all I need to know. My zip code never had a lot anyway. Less than 20 deaths and i would hazzard to guess most were nursing homes and assisted living facilities. County is about 1 million people.

Stop with the facts!

Beyond that, 126 cases to a hypochondriac is quite scary. Actually, terrifying. Hence the masks (and gloves for the truly afflicted).

I don't even carry a mask anymore. Everywhere I go no one bothers me. The only place I got bothered @ was the dentist ... & maybe I should have known better but there were no signs anywhere about needing a mask and I'm vaccinated so why would I think I'd need it? Anyway, LI is pretty much do whatever you want now. A lot of people are still wearing them though. It's weird, I'm usually the only one not.

Some banks are requiring masks. Well at least Citibank in Farmingdale was.
