High tech jobs to help upstate NY compared to a warehouse in Queens with mostly minimum wage jobs, this is a great success story.
Yep. Such facts are lost on 80% of this forum.

Are you that dense? The Amazon deal that progressive dimwits like AOC torpedoed in queens was Amazons east coast HQ! These would have been high paying 6 figure jobs not an Amazon “warehouse” they were projecting thousands of well paying office jobs which are now going to the DC area instead

This is a 30 year investment. Tesla rewrote their Chips to get around this and help electric cars.

Tax breaks for a massive investment upstate. Intel invested much more in Ohio for less. Why not have Amazon and micron ?

I agree that it is great to have manufacturing jobs return to the US, but Amazon' HQ2 was not solely warehouse jobs. Four years ago (article linked below) the average salary for the new HQ2 LIC jobs was $150,000.

Quote:
Amazon announced on Tuesday that it is splitting its new headquarters, “HQ2,” between New York City and northern Virginia. ...the company chose the Long Island City neighborhood in Queens...and it expects to bring 25,000 new jobs to [that] location.

...the average salary for new employees will exceed $150,000 per year, Amazon announced.

True that there was more than just warehouse jobs but remember it was Amazon that pulled out and went to Virgina even though NYC offered them more money than VA. DeBlasio and Cuomo wanted them here, AOC and the local community in LI City did not. That is a very congested area to begin with and it would have required millions in improvements to transit, schools and roads.

There are several manufacturers that are planning factories in Ohio, AZ and others. This is a plus for our national security, Zeldin voted against the incentive.

Either way Amazon in NYC has nothing to do with Hochul.

Tesla had the same shortages as other auto manufacturers although they lessened the blow. There is an Amazon warehouse upstate NY and Staten Island.

There was 60% approval in NYC or LI City, post a link.

Once again, nothing to do with Hochul.
