Just like how you believe the entire county of Los Angeles is the city of Los Angeles.

That's a nice white flag you're waving.

Probably, after all, they're both called Los Angeles.

So you're close-minded, great. Like others have asked, what is your problem?

I smell a troll, why bother with this guy its obvious he's full of it. Personally I don't see why he's in this forum in the first place, sounds like penis envy to me. Look at his join date and count and I can assure you this guy probably created this account under an alias just to troll in the LA forum once again. Besides speaking of Miami, when most outsiders speak about visiting Miami they are usually talking about South Beach, the city is pretty much a dump and not typically where the visitors venture into.

I really can recall any area besides the waterfront wall of highrises that is more urban than LA. Hell if LA's a giant suburb, than what is Miami?

If fact a lot of it looks like Long Beach, just take a look at an aerial over both cities and you'll can hardly tell the difference. Yet Long Beach is around 50 square miles with almost 500,000 people, and yet he says LA metro is just a big giant burb, and yet it's debatable Miami trumps even Long Beach which is just a small part of the LA metro area.

I've lived in Miami for a year and yes outside of South beach and the areas around there the city sucks I the LA is a much better city than Miami.

I could be wrong but isn't cities like Chicago, SF, Philly, and Boston denser and more urban than LA with better walkability, I actually like LA more than all those except SF But the heavy reliability on the car LA was developed for back in the 50s is a flaw imo from a sustainable, environmental, economic, and vibrancy standpoint that does not make suburban to me tho. Overall the city is still great with this flaw everywhere has its flaws even NYC has its flaws even it is considered model for urbanity
