What I miss about Los Angeles is the traffic the way it was in the mid-80s, when I left. We thought it was bad then. We had no idea how much worse it was going to get.

Dude, I've lived here MY WHOLE LIFE (save for a couple months in DC, more a long vacation but it was my first attempt at college) and what you're saying doesn't ring with me and probably most of the people here that are natives. True, I lived (and live) in the suburbs or Orange County but have LA roots in the family and am familiar enough with the place.
