The only way to be sure is to identify them and count them, which the politicians running the city and state oppose. The larger their numbers, the bigger the effect. Identifying them in the upcoming census will provide the data that is intentionally suppressed today.

No one does. Including you. So arguing that illegals have no impact on rents is false. But we'll have that data in a couple years so you'll need a new list of talking points.

Heh. Quite a statement about your analytical chops hidden in this post: if “no one [knows] at this time” ... how would you know if I will need “new talking points” in the future when the data is in?

No preconception there, eh?

Check the last census, the one before that and the one before that and ... it will be pretty obvious what is happening.

Most ? Hmmm does he have any stats to back that up ? If it is mostly from illegal dumping why aren’t they doing anything about that ?

“Most of the things we saw in the news recently are from illegal dumping, not from homeless folks, so it’s also important not to blame folks that are living on the streets for everything that we see,” said Garcett

LOL! Just like the rat infestation at City Hall was allegedly a result of the demolition of a nearby building, even though recently revealed documents indicate that the pest controllers who were hired 6 months ago stated that the nearby homeless encampments were the likely cause of the City Hall rat infestation.

How would stating that the homeless trash is the principal cause get them more business? Are they in the business of trash removal as well?

Homelessness jumps 12% in L.A. County and 16% in the city; officials ‘stunned’

Quote:
In a hard reality check for Los Angeles County’s multibillion-dollar hope of ending homelessness, officials reported Tuesday that the number of people living on the streets, in vehicles and in shelters increased by about 12% over last year.

And some people will still claim in this thread that a large number of our homeless haven't been relocating here over the past decade...
