My favorite part of that song (other than having a laugh at the way we looked in the 1980s):

Century Blvd - we love it!

Victory Blvd - we love it!

Santa Monica Blvd - we love it!

Sixth Street - we love it! We love it! WE LOVE L.A.!

Personally, I think San Francisco has the best weather, but I'm a sweater-weather type of person, so I love the crispness of SF and dislike warm and hot weather.

Overall Los Angeles has mild, agreeable weather, so I can understand the appeal. We don't get extremes here very often. But the lack of pronounced seasons gets boring to me, and our summer-like weather lasts for too long. It wouldn't be so monotonous if summer would end earlier and not last well into November and December (which it basically does if you go by temperature; heck it's not uncommon for it to be 80 degrees on Christmas and New Year's Day). Again, compared to Chicago or Minneapolis or NYC or Denver, our weather is mild and agreeable -- but it does get a bit boring, at least in my opinion.

No monotonous weather here this season, unfortunately.

Major rainstorm brings mudslides, road closures and evacuations in areas hit by fires: https://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/...206-story.html

Born and raised here I once bragged about Los Angeles and California. That was decades ago. Taxes, traffic, thugs, crappy neighborhoods a 5 minute drive from a decent neighborhood, homeless, the high cost of living, politics.

All that has turned Los Angeles into an embarrassment. Have fun with your crowded overpriced sanctuary city and what comes with it. For those that read this and voted for Jerry Brown for a second term after he admitted on video to being a liar the first time...….what were you thinking? And I know it's tough to move away when you have a job and family here but there are so many better choices.

That old Randy Newman video is decades old too. Back when Ca was decent and you could actually get over 40 on pch. I used to also be proud to be a HB blonde surfer girl. Those were good days. Dark days ahead with Gruesome as gov too

Back when the Randy Newman song was out LA was much more polluted, had much more crime, had less parks, public transportation was a joke, downtown was the absolute worst and Hollywood was horrible. Even the Hollywood Sign was in shambles. LA is much better today in my book.

Unless you are moving to Flaggstaff, what is the appeal to Arizona? Tucson and Phoenix are the absolute worst. Hot and dusty, endless suburban type sprawl, beachless. Went to Scottsdale on business. Everyone complained about the heat, the dust storm then the monsoon type rain. Then it was oppressively humid along with the heat. Have fun.
