Here in Aurora, ME...49F Degrees, Dew Point, 38F Degrees, Winds WNW 10MPH, Cloudy...
Forecast Low - 38F Tonight
Awoke to a clear, blue sky and chill in the air...Clouds moved-in early afternoon and stayed...
Watched a new pair of Female Cardinals enjoying our bird feeder...The fledgling males ran them off for awhile....Hehehe! Kids....
Another Stew Supper, tonight -Beef marinated in Worcester Sauce and a decent Merlot...Then, braised it in butter and onions...removed beef and thickened the broth..Then, dropped baby red and white potatoes, carrots and chopped-up beets...with a side of creamy biscuits smothered in butter...Also cooked our weekly Corned Beef for some of our lunch-wrapped sandwiches! Laundry finally done...with little remaining on the racks...A contented day an enjoyable weekend, though, too short!

Next weekend could really feel like winter. Very cold air mass coming, and that would mean on off snow showers around as well. Highs in the 20s and 30s likely.

So enjoy the 40s and 50s next 7 days.

I'm pretty sure next weekends cold is in & out anyway but exciting to see another cold air mass which will be coldest of season. We'll see.

Actually, this weekends max temp forecast looks like 30s for northern Maine then warms to 40s during the week.

Just took a look at the current map. I see why it's gonna stay in the 30s for northern half of Maine. Clouds!

Lunchtime temps and Satellite.

Getting there! A bit more raking and insulating to do.
Plus washing windows.....if I have to be inside for most of the winter I at least need clean windows to look out of! 40 windows down and about 10 left to do......

Bought a new SUV (well, new to us), with Four-Wheel Drive and snow tires... and stocked-up on food and water. Have an alternative heat source - propane, looking at Deep-cell rechargeable batteries for our electrical necessities...Went to buy insulated curtains and they were sold-out in one store - hoping to find them elsewhere...Still need to shop for a new coat, Bogs (literally wore-out my old pair) and a few other things from my list!
