I'll also add that at the state level (yes this is a state specific forum), there is no significant amount corporate welfare. Well, it is peanuts in comparison to welfare to the "poor". I heard that around 50% of the state budget now goes towards "entitlements".

Yes, I've known of that too. The friend moves in or stays there off and on. They deal drugs and they have lots of money. THAT needs to be stopped. All forms of welfare fraud need to be stopped.
But honest people who need food shouldn't be lumped in with the crooks who are abusing the system. Go after the crooks.
