I imagine for most people, if their only flat screen panel died during a lockdown, replacing it would be considered essential.

If true, then it frightening to see that so many of our fellow citizens are willing to give up their personal freedoms so easily.

"Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."

Benjamin Franklin

Yes, politicians are all willingly stressing their state’s economies ... the primary force behind voter sentiment ... to exercise tyranny over their constituents.

Love it or leave it, Bro.

If you can't be happy in total submission and subservience to the whims of the state, you're free to move to another country.

They get away with it because the state has armed police backing them up. Black Lives Matter are the only people telling them "get your jack boot off my throat."

Which personal freedoms have been given up specifically?

Having to wear masks?

You can't reason someone out of a position they never reasoned themselves into.

I figure it will take laws with real teeth to deal with this. Kind-a like DUI which was wink-wink, nudge-nudge for generations and is now very severe penalties. If it's a $1,000 fine and your drivers license suspended for 90 days for failing to wear a mask in public, you'll see 100% compliance. Particularly if cities and towns get to keep $500 of the fine money.

Don't you know about the obscure language in the Bill of Rights that talks about the unhindered right to keep your face exposed in its God-given glory? It's the same portion that smokers used to refer to back in the 80s and 90s. When you find it, let me know!
