If you read the NWS forecast discussion, they reference the NAM model and opt to use a combined approach with lower numbers. Who knows? I'll look out the window Saturday and see how much ends up in my driveway. I just ran my generator. All is good.

So far, it's not too bad up in Newburyport - I think the heavy snow is working its way north. We have about 2-inches of fine-grained snow down that's swirling in the wind at 9:00am. Still forecasted to get 24in here before all is said and done, but I am glad that I will have some time to gather myself today and keep the back stoop clear so I can still open the door and get to the snowthrower ;-)

It was above freezing at dawn here on the South Coast so the wet sludge is stuck to the trees. The temperature is dropping. It’s pretty windy out of the north. ~ 25 to 30 mph sustained with higher gusts. We lost power for 15 minutes but it came back on before I cranked up the generator. I couldn’t guess at snowfall depths since it’s horizontal snow and the high winds are packing it down. I imagine inland has a bunch of snow and lots of drifting. A good day to read a book.

Checking in from Norwood. Can't see a d*** thing out the window but we still have power so far. Poor birds appear to be getting blown out of the trees. Drifting snow has almost buried my car. I cleared off part of the patio this morning so the dog could do his business and I'll be going back out in a few minutes to move enough snow to make sure we can open the doors, but no point in doing much more than that at this point with the wind blowing the snow all over. It was powder this morning here so I hope that stays the case. South Shore looks horrible with that wet snow and even higher winds.

Northern suburbs here, and there's certainly a lot of snow blowing past the window, though actually the accumulation on flat ground isn't all that much yet, just a few inches. But plenty more of the storm is still waiting to come.

If you Google the Eversource outage map, it has really good granularity and says both when the outage was reported and how many customers.
