Too bad there isn't a Saturday playoff game in Foxboro. It would be one for the ages. A classic winter nor'easter. The NWS has high winds with 1.5" QPF and 10:1 snow moisture content inland. It might pass more offshore and have lower intensity but some of the weather models look like a couple of feet of snow. My NWS point forecast on the coast is 2-4" Friday night. 9-13" Saturday. Another 2-4" Saturday night. Gusts to 48 mph.

The GFS really puts it very coastal. It seems there is already a drop-off between the coast and 95 and even more 495.
I think the European model puts it slightly more inland but there is a good chance central MA isn't going to see anything apocalyptical.

But...temps at 46 to 50 a few days next week with a couple of nights at 39-40 degrees before some cold returns.

The NECN map showed Newburyport in the "ridge" of maximum snowfall accumulation, and said something about 60-70mph winds along the coast. I am hoping they are just being sarcastic.

Nope. My point forecast is 50 mph gusts. The Islands are 60. If I lose power, it should be daylight and easier to mess with the generator. Famous last words but I should be able to get power to the gas fireplace insert in 10 minutes.

I saw a snowfall model earlier today that showed 48” at Blue Hills. LOL

snowpocalypse on Saturday

LMAO. I'm so glad I don't have to shovel or am stuck with street parking. No more trying to save the space I broke my back shoveling out my car. Oh how I hated that. Now I just care about the homeless animals who are killed for being homeless. The homeless people can get into the shelter.
