I wonder at what point WFH numbers will start to increase? I haven't really noticed a change in traffic patterns just yet.

Not sure i have the patience to wait in line that long unless they are combining rewards and such and paying a really cheap price for gas. No idea how that works though
According to a local FB group BJ's is charging .75 less per gallon if you use their rewards card. That would explain the multiple lines at the station near me. I refuse to wait, too, so I'd rather pay more with no wait. I also fill up when I'm half full so I'm not paying $$$.

Not gasoline but the NYMEX heating oil wholesale price is $4.32. In June. Yikes! I’m kind of wondering about my natural gas and electric bills for 2022-2023.

I am probably going to spend over 5k in heating oil for the next season if prices don't come down. Ouch.

I spent $48 to fill up my 2008 Civic today. Most I have ever paid. Gas would have to increase to around $5.699 to be equivalent to what I was paying in August of 2008 (adjusted for inflation).

I paid $4.899 today.

Taking into account wage increases you are probably already paying more than in August 2008

I drove the length of 128 at 2:00 this afternoon. I see no evidence that gasoline prices have reduced traffic at all. I had 45 minutes of delay from Danvers to Canton and then 24S was slow.

I’d imagine most people traveling at commuter times have little short-term choice on whether they go.

The exception being those that can substitute with public transit. I fall in that category and even now, gas is about 10% of parking in terms of relative costs.

I imagine traffic outside of the city is overall worse now vs pre-pandemic during the day. The flexibility of work from home allows those workers to drive around and run errands during breaks.

Traffic has seem to gotten worse for me lately.

My commute is along 95 north of Boston. Pre-pandemic it was 60 mins, but post covid it dropped to 30 mins each way. Now it seems it's regularly 45mins each way. I thought gas prices would keep people at home who can WFH, but it seems everyone is out and about
