Not sure about that. San Francisco has been hit hard by mass tech layoffs this year. All the big tech companies over hired 100-300k positions during the pandemic and now they're being laid off already.

Oh good, even better. Maybe we will have less of an influx of CA folk so our housing prices can stabilize without a further run up and natives who've been trying to buy here might finally have a chance.

Not sure but seems that way based on the number of posts I've seen on this board of folks relocating here from CA and also I have a couple acquaintances that have lost out on homes they bid on against all cash CA buyers (as was told to them by their realtors).

Not sure about total number, but I know about 5 people who moved here from CA. Some work remotely. MA is still cheaper than popular areas of CA, and overall quality is good (and without some excesses of CA).

I met one family who moved here from CA recently to my town about a year ago. I haven't noticed a huge influx of Californians.
