Also, how does that work with insurance when your car hit the car in front of yours? Since it wasn't actually caused by you but it was still your car that hit theirs, do they go after your insurance or does everyone who's car got damaged go after the drunk guy's insurance?
I have his info, plus the photos and video, so we are good on the insurance front.

In this case, the guy who hit me is responsible for damages to both vehicles. If they didn’t catch him, I suppose the other car’s insurance company could attempt to go after my insurance (and they might if there was even a slight possibility of a payout). But since it was clearly a hit and run and said as much on the police report, there’s no way my insurance company would accept liability. If the other vehicle’s insurance wanted to keep pushing it, they could go to arbitration, but there’s no chance an arbitrator would rule in their favor. So I doubt they’d try, and if they did, they’d probably drop the pursuit as soon as my insurance denied responsibility.

If it's the same guy, looks like this RI crash involved a guy who was a big wig, director level person at Biogen. Wow, for someone with so much book smarts, sure didn't have much common sense. The article reports he was driving erratic before his crash.

Sadly the crash on 495 resulted in fatality of the innocent Subaru driver that was hit when the reckless truck driver went airborne and crossed over the other side. https://www.boston25news.com/news/lo...BIMTPE7BXCAPQ/

Checked out the safety ratings of the vehicle which was an '18 Impreza...the structure and safety cage rating was poor for that model and year, driver injury measurements were also not good for the side crash test which looks like this event was. Again, it stinks to have to pay $60k+ for a top safety rated SUV tank but these are the types of crashes where driving a tank of an SUV like a GLE, XC90, etc. will really make all the difference.https://www.iihs.org/ratings/vehicle...oor-sedan/2018

I guess someone was a little too eager for the after Xmas sales at Macy's! Didn't something similar recently happen at South Shore Plaza in Braintree?! https://whdh.com/news/macys-in-saugu...ough-entrance/

Interesting....how is this driver not facing any charges for crashing thru a Macy's based on the claim that gas pedal got stuck but yet the guy who crashed into the Hingham Apple w/same excuse was charged? Something isn't adding up...https://whdh.com/news/stuck-gas-peda...cys-in-saugus/
