Matrix5k made it sound like a structural issue. I saw no structural issues with that house. It needs work but only in deep cleaning and cosmetic updates.

Even parking space costs haven't escaped a rent increase. My parking garage is going to $550 a month from $450.

That's crazy. Does the parking garage have increased costs or are the owners just greedy?

What would a developer do with this property? Tear it down and build the new one on stilts?

Yep. You can tell it was an old person's house. There's a walker in one of the pictures...and a shower chair.

Not mental illness, newenglandgal. Mobility issues.

There's def some mental illness in the mix too. Even w/mobility issues, there's no reason for anyone to be living in squalor like that.
