It seems like people can't be denied anything in the US when it comes to healthcare. Everyone is so worried about getting cancer yet the procedures to check for Cancer are through the roof expense wise. If every year people are getting checked for cancer starting at age 40 until they die that is an absurd amount of money - mammograms, colonoscopies, endoscopies, Pap smears, skin cancer biopsies. The majority of time most people don't have cancer but will be tested over and over just to be sure. That alone is trillions of dollars. Forget about the unhealthy people who need to be tested more often and for more diseases.

It's an exaggeration to say "the only country" though. Immigrants in Canada and Australia can achieve similar things, for example.

USA does provide many opportunities, but unless you are highly educated, most of the "opportunities" are things locals don't prefer. So you see landscapers speak Spanish, roofers speak Portuguese, and nail technicians speak Vietnamese...

Even highly educated immigrants are usually "downgraded" in a sense, and cannot use their skills.

But if their children are born here then they can attend public schools, get an education and a good job and give their parents a better quality of life.

You guys always complain about the negative sides. Look for the positive things in life. You've got a great life!

Many of us are not immigrants nor do we have immigrant parents and at this point those things are not a positive for us. It's a yep our country is overcrowded for us.

Unless you are native American, everyone is an immigrant!

Not really. Being born here doesn't involve immigration. If you want to go down this road, even the ancestors of American Indians migrated here, from Asia.

Apparently the cape is having trouble renting places out:

We were on the cape over the weekend and my DH ordered a lobster roll that was $46. I asked how it was and he said, not good. lol. It was also $46 to add lobster to a salad.
