You didn't say illegals...you made reference to non-citizens. There are millions of the latter in the US LEGALLY.

Reference was made to deporting non-citizens, not illegals. Which is xenophobia at its finest.

There are plenty of non-citizens who are illegal...don't you realize that?

Whose legal status is "conditional" (or at least supposed to be).

Do you know what permanent residency is? We have about 13 million of them in the US. Nothing conditional about their status.

I was not talking about the commission of serious crimes. Was referring to their rights to drive in this country as along as they abide by the law, just as citizens must. If we started deporting permanent residents for traffic violations, Lord help us. But nothing would surprise me, the way public sentiment is shifting.

Public sentiment is shifting the way it is in response to government behavior. Perhaps it is only optics but an experienced political party should be able to handle optics, right?

We are not talking a tail light violation here. We are talking about taking the lives of others with a two ton lethal device (which is a form of homicide).

Can't believe I have to say this, but permanent residents (i.e. green card holders) and holders of many other visa types have every legal right to be here and obtain driver's licenses. This has been true for DECADES. And they are subject to the same laws (and taxes) as citizens!
The guy doesn't have any kind of driver's license. green card or not.
