--------

Dade County has three official languages.

And there's a preference for employees that are tri-lingual, quatrilingual, pentalingual. Miami has been declared a Global City.

I would love to learn Creole! When did learning new languages become a bad thing?

I thank my parents for moving from Atlanta and raising me in Miami...instead of "having to" learn Spanish, I got "the opportunity" to learn Spanish

It's all in how you view it, huh?

LOL. Miami has been declared a lot of things... espicially by people on this forum. It doesn't necessarily make them all true.

I never would have learned spanish if i didnt move to miami.. complain all you want, but its how USA is, you can't force someone to learn spanish, nor can you force someone to learn english. if you're in miami and you dont speak spanish.. you aren't very competitive for the job market.. you can keep searching or leave.. but stop whining.
