Jackson also has a pulsating progressive youthful glow, but with a metro population of roughly 10% of what Atlanta's metro is, you may not feel the pulse as much. Jackson may never be an Atlanta, and I would hope it never does (not saying I don't want Jackson to grow by any means) because every city should be different and they all have their good and bad qualities.
Good points. I totally agree--makes sense.

Sounds just like Chicago.

Go with your gut. if you felt a genuine connection to the area and the possibilities for your business being in Jackson or Hattie-town, then go for it. don't let the opportunity pass or naysayers cast doubt. just jump in.

Pearl is the perfect location for the future. Easily accessible from anywhere in Jackson Proper. Police dept is strict and therefore crime is under control. I-20 is being upgraded to 6 lanes and there is plenty of growth especially around Hwy 468 interchange. Yes you will get business from downtown. A new corridor will be built from downtown and Pearl will ultimately become the Eastern downtown area. If the Two-Lake project becomes reality Pearl will explode with growth exponentially.
