There were no unusual lights on in the house, I was talking to my oldest daughter on the phone (she lives in Tulsa),
she said she would stay on the phone with me until I got in the house and made sure everything was okay. I walked in, there were presents under the tree (I had not put anything under there). I couldn't figure out what was going on. I started to turn on the light and out of the kitchen walks my 3 kids from Branson!!!!!!!!!! They brought all their presents and my 3 grandsons. They couldn't stand Mom and Dad being so upset and so lonely Christmas. BOY DO I BELIEVE IN SANTA CLAUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just had to let you all know.
Merry Christmas to all of you !!!!!!!!!

Well I finally got a little time to check up on everyone here.

I hope everyone had a great holiday. It was so busy in our household with both of my kids having birthdays before Christmas.(What was I thinking?) Glad to be slowing down through the Christmas break. Had a great Christmas and kids too. Can you say IPOD? The things they have today compared to when we were kids.

Being that I am still one of the lonely ones still on dial up, we came to Panera Bread for some downloads. I hope everyone is having a great holiday season. We might be getting some snow tonight..... *****

Hi there G4inMo...Long time no see!!!. Same here with the birthdays. One before Christmas and one New Years eve. What a blast that one was! cookies and prune juice at the Nurse's station at midnight...what fun.

Just light drizzle here so far. Supposed to get some snow, but I bet it will not amount to anything. At least I hope not. Have to get an estimate on the damage that the deer did to my car Christmas Morning. Dumb thing ran right into me, can y'all believe that?

Y'all take care and keep in touch.

Life Anew

Does your heart hurt at Christmas time?
Do you ache for times long past?
Have tears caressed your cheeks at night
Wishing that good times could last?

Have you searched through many boxes
Hoping to find just the right card?
That expressed your feeling and thoughts
Not knowing it would be this hard.

Why cannot this day be filled with joy
With happiness and warmth expressed?
Why cannot those moments return
To be kept as a flower that's been pressed?

Are your arms feeling empty and lost
Without that someone so missed?
Do you turn your head to hear that voice
That once brought happiness and bliss?

When the lights are turned low
and shadows hang softly near by
Do you wander from room to room
Suppressing the desire to cry.

Light a candle my friend, right now
Place it prominently to view
Surround yourself with music
It is time to begin life anew.

The hopes and promises of days long gone
Have been replaced with so much more
You hold your head up high, your eyes are bright
You realize the time has come to soar.

No longer will you think sad thoughts.
No longer will the past take hold
Your heart and soul will be lifted high
As time gives strength so bold.

This is a time of happiness and joy
This is a time to ponder
You must hold tight to pleasure
And let your mind and soul wander.

No more depressing moments
No more sad, crying spells.
Give yourself a hug right now
So hard that your heart swells

Ah, it does feel better now I'm sure
You are ready for the present time
You are ready to begin anew at last
Tour life, tour places, tour all the time.

Good luck to all that seek some solace
And luck to all that are not afraid
You can experience life anew right now
Just be happy that here you have stayed.

Just some thoughts and words for this time of the year.

NV! You have captured the very way I was feeling on Christmas morning before the bird in my tree started singing for me that I wrote about. YOU have effectively gotten to the heart of the matter and I certainly do relate to your words. Thank you for your expression of my very thoughts.

Holiday Greetings all! Glad to hear all the happy tales! We had prime rib, too, kareybear! It was delish! Hubby said no turkey, ever again on Christmas! The Kids and Grandbabies all came over and it was a very wonderful Christmas!

UPDATE on Bosses wife, Kim ~ Drs. are calling her "mass" an 8m colloid cyst, on the 3rd ventricle and are pushing for surgery in the next few weeks. We were told that the cyst could cause instant death, if it were to move or grow! Complications from the surgery range from excessive bleeding, to permanent short term memory loss, to the point of having to keep a notebook and the possibility that she could forget her husband or children! She is going to New York to see a specialist right after the 1st...
If anyone has knowledge of a surgeon that has done multiple surgeries on colloid cysts, please forward the info. I am on the search for the worlds best!!
Later my friends!
