Republicans are getting way over the top. Some many new gun laws pretty soon we will be required to carry in Mo. Lat month it was anew republican law so farmers can sell vehicles left on their property that are ten years old up from the 20 year requirement! Caused St Louis old car thefts to jump 37%. STUPID IDEA!

What are the actually doing to help our economy?

Missouri bill prevents businesses from restricting guns - KansasCity.com

The bill would also protect business owners from liability for any injury or damage that results from allowing guns to be legally carried in cars. It exempts owners of hotels, motels and apartment complexes.

Businesses would still be able to restrict firearms being carried in company cars.

The House voted 119-36 on Thursday to send the measure to the Senate. It is sponsored by Republican Rep. Stanley Cox, of Sedalia

So Obama, who you undoubtedly support, tried to use Sandy Hook/Newtown to shift the public debate away from his failed economic policies to gun control, and now you are upset that Republicans at the state level are reacting to that national agenda to restrict gun rights with legislation aimed at protecting gun rights in Missouri? Why isn't Obama doing anything about the economy? Oh, because he's tried and all of his ideas have failed?

Besides, you previously brought up what they are trying to do in Missouri to spur economic growth, which is cut the state's marginal tax rate:

As I recall you weren't too keen on that idea, but I will wager it will work better than anything Obama has tried at the federal level. You cannot tax and spend your way to prosperity.

Irt will work better at taking money out of the poor and middle class pocket books.

You say Obama has failed. How does that make it right for the republicans to stick it to the little guy AND NOT DO THERE JOB. NO BODY IS COMING AFTER YOUR OR MY GUNS

Well, the Whigs...er I mean...GOP, won't matter outside the south and far west in a couple election cycles anyway. Unfortunately in the interim they are knuckle-dragging a few once-great Midwest states down with their gun loving, anti-science, low-wage, low-education, low-civil-rights, Baptist fundamentalist idiocy. It's a shame, and they should be ashamed of themselves for doing it. It's no use arguing with them, however, as they are incapable of processing facts that don't align with their conspiracy-theories.

Ah, the tired old insults from the left being resurrected from Obama's ol' scare em' machine.
Why yes, those knuckle-dragging Midwestern states should totally take Illinois' queue and become liberal utopias of their very own. Oh yippee, California and Illinois doing it up right by running off all political opposition because the ever-and-always important diversity obsession must surely stop at politics. No room for independent thought there, and it's working out so well for them.

Look around at what's really going on out there. Obama's healthcare debacle is destroying what was left healthcare, wages for many have essentially gone down because of it. Taxes have also increased on us little people the dems are supposedly watching out for. Scores of full time jobs are now part-time. At least they put an end to preexisting. Happy happy joy joy.
If he were a republican, you'd be fit to be tied at his inability to spur the economy. But he's a dem, so he gets a free pass at incompetence while still finding creative ways to blame Bush for all that ails the world.

"those knuckle-dragging Midwestern states"

The state legislatures are the knuckle draggers. I love the Midwest and don't like seeing these a-holes trying to turn it into some variation on the south.

lets see what the 'left' voters have to say when their health cost goes up 30, 40 %. Blame Bush ????

Obama is not seen by the 'left' voters as their problem. He is too busy out getting money for the dem's.

Obama would have to govern in order to take any blame for the lousy economy. But, no blame because he don't govern.,

It isn't Obama's fault that rural, and primarily southern and western districts, aren't prepared to live in this century. If you think health insurance rates will increase by 30 or 40 percent, you clearly haven't bothered to learn about what the law actually does and doesn't do, and you lack math skills.
