I think it’s huge. It’s proven that violent crime tends to fluctuate over time, and so I think it’s destined to go back down. I am concerned that people’s perception of the city is growing more negative the longer is stays high. If I’m the mayor I want to crack down on it hard because you’re trying to pitch to people in west Mobile to join the city. You want to do that from a positive position, not a negative one

If I were the mayor I would be advertising the fact crime in Mobile has fallen 40% in just 4 years. Not sure why he hasn't, especially with the media having a field day about violent crime

Not just west Mobilians but transplants in general. We may loose about 1-2k transplants a year to the ESC. Because if the false perception.

And I'm excited about Wawa coming to Mobile !

I can’t believe they’re putting another storage facility on grelot. We’re gonna have more storage units than houses in this city. At what point do you start denying this stuff?

So in total there are 390 new lots in the upcoming commission meeting. 171 lots for a new subdivision called The Pines at Colleton Place, it will be located on Howells Ferry Rd in District 3. Then there's a new 219 lot subdivision plat that will be located between Mcfarland Rd and Dawes Lane East. There's also a replat for Briargrove Subdivision Phases 5 which is 34 lots on Jeff Hamilton rd, bringing the total to 424 lots. In total there have been 724 lots approved this year that will be subdivisions (assuming that all 3 plats get the green light). With only 98 being replats

For reference in 2019 and 2020 there were only 400 lots approved in new plats and replats in both years. In 2021, a total of 1365 lots were approved. So far this year we are over half way to 1400 lots yet only in April

Also, There is no competition, District 3 is pulling the most. Currently District 3 will have 505 new lots; District 2, 188 lots; and District 1, 31 lots
