Wait a minute? There are Americans in California? I guess I had a different perception of California. Didn't mean to step on any American toes. My apologies.

California is not all LA, San Diego, or even San Francisco. I came from a rural area in CA where I lived on a farm with a wood stove and well water. Cattle roamed along with coyotes and rattlesnakes. But I have also lived in Berkeley and San Diego.

That's right Jessaka, we lived where dairies and grapes were everywhere. I do wish that we had been able to split the state in half and create 2 like they have been trying to do for the last 20 years!

First off - thank you all for your support and I'll be on the ballet this November My first agenda will be to abolish all existing agencies and start again - amen.

Truthfully, I've never been one that saw Califs as bad, egotistical or whatever.....I've said before I have Calif friends, I think they are great folks. And I think Montanans do pile on them needlessly because they are an easy target.

Also the bit about MT population being low per square mile, we've talked about this before, in short western MT in particular is not near as big as one might think, when you consider that most of the suitable, livable or public lands are in the valleys, which are becoming very crowed, the Bitterroot valley is a good example of what I mean, it's a large area but the growth is concentrated in the valley, with one main and very crowded highway running the length.......You can make a different case for eastern MT, yes lots of open space there and room, But everyone want to move to western MT and certain spots in western MT - which is one of my contentions - you want to move out of your S**hole great - I don't blame you, but lets not all flood into the same couple of already over crowded places - like the bitterroot valley.

NOW THEN - If elected my first task would be to adopt a state policy of - "We will not encourage any type of growth" --- maybe we can't stop it, but we certainly won't encourage it.......for instance - we start off killing any state program that encourages or subsidises companies to move here, unless under specific conditions - they bring good, as in 50k, paying jobs to a town that is really hurting and that all those jobs go to the people who live there, after all what is the point of bring in a new company and then dragging in 100 outta state people to come here and work - seems kinda silly.....which is what we've been doing here in Western MT......we were actually better off 20 years ago with no and/or low paying jobs and cheap realestate......the new trend is bring in a company (mostly retail or service) then bring in a bunch of people to work there and build a bunch more house, pretty pointless.....
So the party motto is - we love you all, come to montana and visit, then go home, but if you must move here - SPREAD OUT FOR GOD'S SAKE
Plus I'm thinking if we could all just grap one illegal by the neck - and toss 'em back across the border we'd all be alot happier and better off........seriously the illegal thing is at the root of all these growth/crime/etc problems our country is having............are they bad people, some yes, some no, but it doesn't matter - I'm a nice guy too but I still gotta abid by the law and pay my traffic tickets, they have their country we have ours, no one ever made good friends or got respect by trampling into their neighbors back yard. Besides if they are nice people they'll respect us and our laws - something they seem to have litte if no concern for......in perspective - I'l love to be able to sneak across the Canadian border and make 20 times my american salary up there and send the money back home, and in the process drive the wages down of the law abiding Canadians....yea so would that make me a nice guy ? Then when I get caught drunk driving and hitting someone - I'll just change my name - why not, nobody in Canada knows who I am or how to find me, worse case - I'll just slip back into the states - So you see I'm just not finding a lot of sympathy for the illegals.
Put the wall up, make it as tight as a crap's A** and then to prove that we are really great people here in america, give each illegal that shows up back at the return gate to mexico $5000, "here amego that's like $100,000 bucks in US dollars - go buy yourself a nice home in mexico and leave us alone, and if you find it in your heart pay us back someday and buenos tacos to you and the family"

I don't think he was referring to Montana, he was saying that the flood of illegals in all other states is pushing all the Americans out of those particular states (i.e. Califronia, Arizona, Texas, etc.) and in turn all the Americans there are relocating to places like Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, etc. to get the hell away from the states they used to love but is now a crap hole. By the way, great post Joe, I fully agree.

Great post JoeJoe, like you said, western MT is big but what most really don't realize is outside the valleys is mostly state and federal land. Unless there's a forset service sell off we are actually runing out of buildable land.

Beaves, funny you mention this, I ran into a border patrol agent the other day and discussed this very thing. I would suggest you go out and look around, like the agent and I discussed it's a growing problem here and IMO will get worse before it gets better.
They just convicted a guy for importing illegal mexicans after catching and warning him 3 times not to and the penalty was almost equal to shop lifting.

This state is still the wild west when it comes to labor law and enforcement (not to mention very few lawmen) so if you think that companies won't use whoever they can as cheap as they can for as long as they can then it's a dream world y'all are living in.

JoeJoeMan has my vote. And I've never voted before. I'm holding my vote for a real man to take office. I have yet to see one since I've been able to vote. We desperately need someone with JoeJoeMan's view and ideas to help keep America the beautiful.
As far as illegals, I feel there is nothing we can do. The gov't won't do anything about it. I think they encourage it. I feel the illegals are going to wipe us out in a short amount of time. It took blood, sweat, tears and human life to build this country for centuries and I think it's going to taken from us within a short time period. The invasion is not in Iraq, it is here and we are going to watch it be taken from us with our own eyes and I feel there is nothing we can do about it. The next president whoever it may be will be the key ingredient if that person wants illegals here or not. If they are here and our gov't does nothing about it, my new address will be in Canada. All of our history, all over this country that was bled for, will be gone in just a matter of time. All those historic places you may have visited, gone and the next generation won't even recognize or remember what had happen there. Our history gone, just like that and I did nothing about it. I'm just one man but I need a billion more so our voices can be heard.

Right next door in Idaho, specifically the Boise area, there already IS a problem with illegal aliens, and the gang activity that goes with it. There are parts of Nampa where you don't dare walk at night anymore. In the farming parts of Idaho the Hispanic population is around 30% (vs. about 2% for areas that don't attract illegals as unskilled labour). You can't tell me they're all here legally; more like very few are legal and the rest aren't.

Back in 1975 or so I worked on the potato harvest near Bozeman, and out of the whole crew I was the ONLY one who spoke English. I'd bet every cent I made on that job that they were mostly illegals. And doing a job that local kids could have (and should have) done.
