A good Western with wonderful antiheroes (led by Lee Van Cliff), pretty boys (Antonio Sabato), and ultimate villains (Gordon Mitchell). If there is an ultimate meaning to the flick, I was too caught up in the fun to see it. Say an 8.2.
Well, it's nicely cast, the right faces for the right roles. The photography is wonderful and everyone gets their just desserts in the end. The thing is that it is rather slow moving and one really has to be into that kind of world, like I am, to keep with it, not to fall asleep on it. Say a 6.3.
“Just when I thought I was out, they pulled me back in”
The Godfather Coda: The Death of Michael Corleone (1990/2020). This remastered director's cut is only marginally better than the original (The Godfather: Part III).
A good, change the world in one's own image, flick. Villains you love to hate, lots of shooting and sword play, an underdog to root for, and a handsome, if hurt, hero. It's worth the first pass, especially if one ignores the questions and just takes it as it is. An 8.2.
'An American girl, sent to the English countryside to stay with relatives, finds love and purpose while fighting for her survival as war envelops the world around her.'
I enjoyed this movie. As far as young actresses go, Soarise Ronan is top notch and one of my favorites. I guess there's some Spiderman actor (Tom Holland?) in this movie, too. If you can get past the love story being between her and her cousin (ew) it was a pretty powerful film. The music in the trailer makes it look 100% cheesier than it actually was. Wasn't sure where this was going in the beginning, but got crazy watching a nuclear disaster unfold...
