Saw the great "Point Break" on the Pluto TV channel.

So much better than the lazy CGI-bloated movies that are the norm today.

Rewatched The Empire Strikes Back

After this weekend, it just seemed appropriate.

Watched "Babylon" this week. I'd passed over it because of the critics.

Plotwise it's the typical rise and fall of Hollywood stars along with all the sordid details. Some really talented folks put their work in on it and the sets are eye-candy.

Anyone who isn't familiar with the switch from silent movies to talkies might find some details interesting.

It didn't require any deep thinking and held my interest.

I had never seen this before and didn't intend on watching it, but there's something about this movie.. I couldn't turn it off, and it turned out to be a really good drama. Winona Ryder's 2nd film (I really like this character) , starring Jason Robards, Jane Alexander, and Rob Lowe went full retard in this one.

From the trailer, it kind of reminds me of "Mermaids" with Cher and Bob Hoskins (and Winona). I added it, thanks!

I tend to gravitate towards these old 80s movies, where they portray very real people with very real problems, with a PG-13 rating, lol..
( & I love Mermaids! )

Hiroshima

A three hour mini series but rather hard to put down, watched all 3 hours in one night. Lots of familiar faces....and I guess the delusion that you can talk yourself out of anything is across the board. There may be errors here and there, but, oh well! An 8.7.
