The problem with 3D is that most of them have two cool 3D scenes and the rest is just disappointing and the same as a regular movie.

People aren't understanding why 3D movies suck. They suck because 3D movies tend to focus mostly on just the affects. It will lack a decent plotline, character development, an actual interesting story and more. 3D movies are made mostly to make money and impress the audiences with cool affects.

Default I hate 3d Movies!

I went to see the release of Avatar and I absolutely hated it in 3D. The eyestrain and the inability to discern where to focus at any one time was just too distracting to make up for the special effects. Frankly I think that Roger Ebert sums up the experience rather well.

there have been some good movies which were a shocker when it comes to 3D.

3-D is just another tool for the film makers, which seems to be best suited for animated films and "spectacle" films where the audience is immersed in some grand setting. It is not so useful and may be an unnecessary distraction in "normal" films where the emphasis is on storytellling and character exposition. So, for instance, Casablanca would not be improved by 3-D, but 2001 A Space Odyssey might.

I loathe it too. I just hope this is not the future of cinema or I am really in trouble... I just find it impossible to focus and it hurts my eyes.

I've tried watching 3-D movies twice and both times ended up with a migraine and sick as a dog. Yeah, guess, I won't be jumping on that bandwagon anytime soon.
