Let's give it back to Mexico where it belongs. The gringos will love being controlled by drug cartels.

In any event, current population trends make it very possible that those gringos will be a minority within not too many years, as the Hispanic population of Texas continues to increase. Some pundits actually believe that the state of Texas could wind up as a "blue state" within 8 years.

Haha - the Republicans will commit hari-kari if that actually happens.

Their ideas are stale and the demographics aren't on their side.

its amazing that you see that as a positive because it would benefit your party (which i dont understand why people support). mexico is such a wonderful country, seems really good for america for them to come here and transform us into mexico.

So...if Hispanic people (of whatever background) are legal US citizens, and are thus entitled to vote, you believe that they should not be able to vote in whatever way that they perceive to be in their best interests?

Are there other groups besides Hispanics whom you don't think deserve the power of the ballot box?

FWIW, there is also a petition to deport anyone who signs one of these secession petitions. I think they are ALL a joke, and will be viewed as such by the WH, if they are ever really "viewed" at all.

its a joke that obama made it so these petitions would show up on the white house web site. it must be some attempt to make the booger picking youth happy.

i would suggest requiring voters take a literacy, american history and general knowledge test for the right to vote.

This would do wonders for a state whose economy greatly depends on metropolitan areas anchored outside its borders.

I just wonder if these bozos realize what it would take to form their own country? Do they think it will fund itself? Will they put their $$$ where their mouths are? After all, taxes are the scourge of society for these nimrods.

Idiots.
