Since we are heading down memory lane here... what kind of car did your parent's drive? I remember once, mom was pregnant with my little brother and they ended up getting into a car accident - totaled the car! Mom went into labor - gave birth to my brother while having a broken pelvis - ladies, all together now...OUCH! Anyway, she told dad to go out and get a new car. He pulled into the driveway with a brand new El Camino - remember those? Nice car right? NOT IF YOU HAVE 8 KIDS!!! Needless to say, Mom made him take it back..lol ; ))

Were they four doors? I always liked the two doors with the 318 V8/4 speed. That car with a 4bbl, dual exhaust, and a limited slip rearend could be a lot of fun.

I'm pretty sure they were both just long coupes. I don't remember what year (maybe early 1970s?) or engine type. I need to ask my father the next time I call him ... assuming the remembers!

Both cars died by the early 1980s and they wound up getting a 4-cyl Honda and Toyota.

Oh my God, I remember those kind of cars! My family had the old Caprice Classic station wagon. It was MASSIVE! You used to see the cars come flying up and stopping short. I remember that I always thought it was cool to sit in the back until the summer came around. Then you were sweating like a death row inmate.
