we never pumped our own gas nor do we still - spoiled jersians! I remember one time I was in PA - near the border and I was thinking it was Jersey still...I sat there for 10 mins complaining about how lazy the gas attendant was and why wasn't he coming over to me to pump my gas!!!! I finally figured it out and man was I totally lost - had no clue what I was supposed to do!
