I mean we have zero investment in public transport, there are already 4-6 miles queues to get into the HOlland in the morning, without public transportation investments how is any of this sustainable or scaleable to the sorts of high rise constructions happening everywhere in North Jersey? So many of the arteries to get into the city involve two lanes, or overcrowded trains without any future investment in public transportation.

Either there need to be newer local economic centers or better public transportion options

If it doesn't merge with NY, just become a spot where people stop in on their commute.

IMO the issue isn't lack of transportation into Manhattan as much as it's geography. It's difficult to get onto an island, there are only so many ways and unless we spend a lot of money and undergo a massive infrastructure change to add more tunnels and lanes, it won't improve.

I don't think the population will continue to grow. It be so unpleasant to live here as well as impossible to get around that people might come, but they wont stay.

Given that both presidential candidates are from NYC and we are in greater NYC either the Population of NYC will drastically increase or the population of US will drastically decrease.
