With the limitations on gathering sizes and indoor events, most weddings are off. Doesn’t affect too many people, and isn’t a daily worry except for those of us that rely on them for work. I’m sure we’re the very last concern when it comes to reopening, and not without reason, but still would be nice to have some kind of idea when real work will be a possibility.

The only people still lamenting about indoor dining are the restaurant owners (and their families/friends/employees) who can't (or won't) offer outdoor seating.

Sorry (not sorry), but sh|t happens. The current sitch isn't going to change until (at least) Spring '21.

Ditto for gyms. All of the serious/dedicated workout fanatics that I know, bought personal fitness equipment 2 months ago. They've adapted.
Will restaurants & gyms go the way of the fax machine ? Probably not. But this black swan event will certainly weed out those who didn't have a long view.

Yes, what I'm about to say could be thought of as sick but said in a sane mind - I think Murphy HATES the lower numbers, he really wants to close more things down to advance his liberal democrat platform against someone in DC.

He has to prove to me otherwise and that he's doing what he's doing because he really cares about the people who reside in NJ. All I know is that many people are really struggling (met one yesterday) and businesses that have closed for good under his BS governorship. It's okay, these struggling people won't contract a virus but will wind up eventually homeless and starve to death - I'm not dramatizing this as it's hard for the well-off who read/post in this forum to realize that there's people on the other side of the financial fence.

I want indoor dining! It is way too hot to eat outside, not to mention bugs and bees. It may be down to 80 but now the air quality index is 133. Restaurant workers deserve to make a living, too, and make shift dining rooms on asphalt parking lots doesn’t cut it.

I also want my indoor pool at the Y to reopen but that’s not going to happen any time soon.

Walmart still closes at 8:30PM, and a lot of fast food places still closing 8PM...

I miss my 24 hour White Castle...

And I was supposed to start a career at a Dunkin hiring event. What happened the day before I was supposed to start being a Manager In Training? COVID...

Yes sir, I call it the COVID competition... shutdown their economies in a race to see “who can keep thier numbers “ low . They are not even using science, there are literally trying to prevent ALL spread not matter the economic cost. Everything comes at cost...Cuomo and Murphy are not super smart...they just sacrifice more business than the south.... and that’s why the numbers are low now. But we as a people have to decide how long do keep this up and are we willing to accept the cost. Right now only ppl collecting paychecks are rooting for perpetual lockdowns... but as more become economically affected and they get over the covid hyateria ....sentiment will change

It’s not that they sacrificed more businesses. I said they were one of only a handful of states that actually followed the CDC reopening guidelines. Why do we even have agencies that make guidelines if we’re not gonna follow them?
