Route 1 up to Woodbridge is okay, after that its just plain torture. Public transportation is good.. as long as you are not going with your entire family/dog, and your family is okay with the torture of coming out of a narrow stair in Penn Station. The Penn Station need to be made lot nicer like Grand Central. I can withstand it as a daily commuter. But sometime, its just cheaper to drive to Manhattan directly and find a cheap full day parking for $20 or even park at North Bergen Park and Ride and take the 320 bus to PABT (takes only 15 min during peak hours using the dedicated bus lane)

Actually NJ drivers are pretty good. Try driving around florida with 95 year olds behind the wheel that shouldn't be driving for the last 20 years.
Also most NJ drivers are way better than the neighboring 2 states, esp the ones who rarely see highway speeds and gravitate into left lane blockerszzzz
You guys complain. But NY and PA driver suck. PA is too slow. MA drivers are OVERLY aggressive and always want to fight. CT drivers have no idea how road signs work. RI drivers look like they never got licensed. MD drivers think they need to show off and end up causing an accident.

Il take NJ drivers anyday...
My fiancé is from Massachusetts and even he calls their drivers “Mass-holes”

Yeah they are literally insane. I drove there the past two weekends and I wanted to die.
NJ is very fast. Things get done and if you arent a flaming idiot on the road you will be just fine here lol. I love NJ Roads and NJ drivers. In very grateful for that haha

+1
New Yorkers can't seem to comprehend "no left turn" signs on divided highways, and both NYers and Pennsyltuckians seem to think that the left lane on expressways is the appropriate place to drive 10-15 mph below the speed limit, but those Mass-holes are the worst--hands down. In that state, if you are sitting at a red light, in a right lane that is for both straight-ahead driving and for right turns, you can expect to have horns blasting behind you if you don't turn right on red.
And, it seems that even if I am driving 75 mph in the right lane of the Mass Turnpike, one of their home-grown a-holes will be tailgating me, instead of passing me. At that point, I take my foot off the gas, and when they finally do pass me, I confirm that it was indeed a Mass-hole driver.
