A few roads in Northern VA. Have tolls that change with the flow of traffic the "Express Lanes as they are called" get more expensive the bigger the traffic flow gets. 66 and parts of 495 and 95 have them , they call them lexus lanes or hot lanes . They have topped $30 dollars at times.
Wow. As I mentioned earlier in this thread, there are a couple of toll roads for which you pay big bucks for the privilege of not getting caught on Toronto traffic. I had to take someone for a medical procedure in Mississauga this summer. There are no booths, just gantries that read the plate. He got his bill in the mail: $89 Canadian round trip.
That last sentence is not true at all. First of all beach fees are municipality based not state based. Not all beaches are paid. There are 12 free beaches in NJ: https://mommypoppins.com/new-jersey-...ing-new-jersey
There are beaches in other states that charge fees, and a lot of the free ones aren’t guarded. I don’t find $25 a year (OC) to be a high fee considering the lifeguards and the daily raking and cleaning.
He misses living in Medford and being able to go to clean, guarded beaches with no parking fees for the day.

Believe it or not, I do miss living in Medford for one reason. It's a big one: crime. New Jerseyans, in the suburbs, have that luxury and take it for granted for the most part. And I do miss something about the ocean, but not swimming. It's fishing. I loved fishing as a New Jerseyan. But in all the time I lived in Medford, I never swam on the NJ Shore. I never found it appealing from my childhood. When I was 16 I vacationed in Laguna Beach California, and my heart opened up to what I considered to be a beach. Cliffs, a short shoreline. I vacation in San Diego almost every year. I don't miss NJ beaches for swimming and have no real regard for them.

i was flying down the njtpk at 90mph last night with other vehicles racing past me and i thought ... wow ... being able to get from hoboken to new brunswick in less than 35 minutes is only a feat you can manage in jersey.
Pretty damn busy every time I drive it. Any evidence to back that up?
Some with the NJTP and 295 . Many could take 295 and save some money put they chose the TP instead.
