I'll think of that art when sitting on the Eastern Spur of the NJT trying to get to the Lincoln Tunnel or the Western Spur trying to get to the GWB.

Roughly 16 months after tolls on the New Jersey Turnpike and Garden State Parkway went up in 2020, drivers who use the state’s two largest toll roads are facing another 3% toll hike on Jan. 1.

Included in the New Jersey Turnpike Authority’s $2.289 billion 2022 budget is one sentence that might make drivers cringe — “annual toll rate indexing at 3% effective January 1, 2022,″ which in laypersons language means tolls are going up New Year’s Day.

Nobody should be surprised by this one.

Find me something that is NOT going up in price and we'll talk.

Gasoline, at the moment.

It's the Tappan Zee. Always will be, old or new.

Watch out taking 46. Sometimes they close off the access to the Bridge from the Fort Lee streets off 46. Fort Lee residents worked to get that. First time I came across the barricades, I used my "please help me I am a PA retiree" song to get the PAPD cop to let me through, but I figured that was a one-shot deal.

I filled-up this morning, and I noticed that the price had dropped from $3.17 to $2.99 per gallon.

In the real world I am usually heading for the Tappan Zee since I live in Westchester. If that happened with the barricades I'd take the parallel route, I think LeMoine Avenue or Route 9W to jump on the Palisades south to the GWB.

The other premise we forgot all about is last ear when the tolls went up from $1 to $1.95 it was to support an entire list of major improvements, widening etc etc

NONE of which was or ever is being done, ALL of which was conveniently forgotten.

Default Bulldoze them

There shouldn't be any tolls in the first place. Your gas taxes go to the feds and the state. Turn the GSP into an interstate highway. Part of the NJ Turnpike already is. Also the Atlantic City Expressway.

New Jerseyans think it's their birthright to be screwed.
