Hi everyone. I'm new to the forum. I've been reading the posts here all day and they have me nervous!
I was called back in November about an interview but I didn't take it because it was farther from work and I had only put myself and not my mother down. Earlier this month my mother suddenly passed away and now my situation changed. I sent them an email a few weeks ago asking if it was too late and yesterday I got a letter for an interview in two weeks. I have community preference and I'm a city employee so I hope I get it. Problem is, my current apartment wasn't in my name or the bills. And my credit is points away from the minimum. I hope they could work with me because without this place, I'll probably end up homeless in a couple of months

Just go to the interview and hope for the best. It's been a long, painful wait. But hopefully we will hear something soon.
Hey guys i just received a letter in the mail yesterday for an interview on the 11th. Im type nervous because my living situation changed and unfortunately it was me n my girl on the original application and now we r not together and wont be living together. Will this disqualify me being that its just me now??

I am extremely sorry for your loss..
Your situation doesn't seem complicated at all.. All you have to do is provide your pay stubs and bank statements.. Which is the requirement where you're living now they will probably ask for a notarized letter from the landlord or a notarized letter in which it states that you lived with relatives.. You have double preferences so they will work with you.. Only thing is is that the process is taking a bit longer then expected.. As for the credit they requires a 550 credit... Start working on getting it a little higher that when its time to run your credit it's a bit high...

Unfortunately it will disqualify you... HOWEVER, still go to the interview and explain to them..
Will the income tax refund directly deposited to your bank account affect the process of the application?
