There are no rules on this (I know this question was not for me, but I've had a lot of experience), and it's different with every marketing agent. It shouldn't take more than two weeks (it can take less, it can take more) for the marketing agent to reject your appeal. With HPD, it depends on how backed up the person handling the development you're trying to get into is. Now it seems to be taking months, but you can call them to check on the appeal, which often prompts them to act on it. HPD doesn't often overturn, or "interfere," in its words, with the marketing agent's decision--you have to prove an actual mistake was made--but it has been known to happen, so don't give up hope. Good luck.
Does anyone have a number to reach out to at HPD? I only have the email address which probably gets checked every never. Sent my appeal a week and a half ago and want to grease the wheels and see if that tiny inkling of hope is valid or if my hopes and dreams will be crushed forever and unto eternity.

I was thinking... we should come up with a housing lottery poetry book!
Log number is 9XX but still haven't heard anything. I guess since I have no preference I have no chance.
Off to the next lotto....... at least I tried and will keep trying.
In the next 6 months if nothing happens I'm leaving NYC cause I just can't afford it anymore.
