I wonder why they asked you to resubmit paystubs, didn't you do that with your first interview? Did they also ask you to sign a student affidavit?
I think that if they ask for more paperwork then that is a good thing. I don't think they would ask if what you gave them would already disqualify you. At least that is what I am hoping. They asked for my employment verification when my paystubs clearly show that I make less than what is needed without the recurring gift income. So at least I can assume that they do accept gift income to qualify you and not just to use to disqualify people.
Although I do wish we had more information about this process. I wonder if everyone would be notified if they are put on a waitlist or rejected. Do we need to follow up with them or do we just wait? I would think if we are outright rejected we would know relatively quickly.
Anyway those are my thoughts, grasping at straws, dreaming, hoping....putting out positive energy.
I received a reply the same day saying my documents have been received but I have not received a notice that they are going to do a credit check. It sounds like that is the indicator that you are in the final stretch. And I guess it makes sense they only want to check the credit of people who have a good chance of getting in so they can pocket the other money orders.
I thought they would pocket the money orders too but they actually mailed mine back to me after I was rejected.
Are the walls around proof or its following the trends of many new buildings where it is a thin sheet of paper and everyone can hear you breathe and pass gas?
Are the windows sound proof or could you hear cars honking horns from inside the apartment?
Wild guess, but how many units do you think are left?
When's your move in? I was left with hardly any time to find a subletter for my current place.
Ooh, that has to be a bit frustrating.. I hope you find someone soon...I'm leaving two occupants (family members) in my old apartment, this makes the move less stressful, however, I would like to be officially moved in by 5/1... I slept there over the weekend and I didn't want to return to my old place. I felt like I was on vacation.
@ankhkie,
Congrats! It must have been amazing. Must have been what it feels like to stay at a hotel.
Is everything sound proof? Were you in the low or middle income bucket?
Thank You. That is exactly what it felt like. I’m in the middle income bracket...100% AMI.. My floor is extremely quiet. I can’t speak for other floors but I would bet that it is the same throughout.
I'm just curious, did they only show you one unit or did they give you a choice?
