I just received a rejection notice because my income was over by about $400. UGHHHHHH. I did receive a substantial bonus in 2017 (a lot higher than usual). Could I argue that since a bonus is not guaranteed that it shouldn't be counted towards determining my income? I'm still going to appeal to see what happens.
If you are put on a waiting list do they tell you your place on the list? Also if you get a salary increase that pushes you out of the AMI band for the waiting list you are on but into another AMI band for which there are units, can you be placed on THAT waiting list? Let me write "waiting list" one more time for good measure.
This last week went super fast for me. Last week I was asked to schedule a viewing--Saw it yesterday, and I just signed a lease today and got the keys. Single person and got a 1br. They wanted an immediate move in, didn't have much room with that. The people at VIA were amazing. Very friendly and warm.

Anybody else with updates?
It's been over a week since I've submitted my appeal letter over a 5 day notice for documents that I never received... And I've yet to hear from them at all. I've asked for updates 3 times already and still nothing.

Wow, what was your log #? Didn't you just submit the verification of deposits like 2 weeks ago? Surprised it was such a fast turn around. I submitted my verification of deposits last week. How soon after did they respond to schedule a viewing?

My log # was 7XX
It took two weeks after they received my verification deposits. They called me and said I was approved and that I'd be hearing from VIA shortly. And about an hour later got an email from via about scheduling a viewing. Once it's in VIA's hands they were lightning fast.
I thought I'd have to wait for HPD to tell me I was approved but apparently that was happening during that 2 week period.

Nice, congratulations!
My log # is 47xx, and I submitted my original docs first week of Feb, not really sure how to tell how many people went in and what the odds are since I think you went the last week of Jan and you're 7xx. Even when I went in Feb, the log #s I saw around were all pretty spread out from 300-5000
Thank you! I’ll try to pass the good luck torch on towards yourself and anyone else in this thread!
I also tried to take a peek at the sign in sheet when I went in Jan. I really have no clue to determine what order they’re workin in. I definitely saw a few log numbers below mine when I applied.
Also For anyone who is curious— amenities package are $900 per year, and all the appliances are the same as the market rate apartments!
