I was just asked to submit updated paperwork on 7/1. Based on other posts here, it seems that batch may have encompassed logs ~1500-1699. And I’ve seen no indication here that they’ve asked for updated paperwork for anyone else seeking 1 bedrooms after that 7/1 request several of us received.

I’m personally extremely skeptical of the 150 per day figure. There’s a lot of room for interpretation re: what “processing” 150 applications a day even means (eg, could be first requests for paperwork). Also could have been a slip of the tongue—perhaps 150 per batch, or 150 per month…. The posts in this thread certainly don’t seem to support they’re making 150 offers a day.

@ Dartsan

Since you have been asked to update your documents on July 1th ? Have you heard anything else?
I was asked to update my documents on July 7th. ( I am applying for a 2 bedroom, therefore not on the same hold list as you). I am just curious how things are moving after being ask to update paperwork.
My current lease is expiring august 31. If I don't hear anything by the end of this week, I might have to renew and than hopefully break when I get an offer from Stuytown.

Not yet. It took me a few days to pull everything together and resubmit. Like the email posted a couple pages back, I was also given until July 15th to resubmit everything.

Good luck! I unfortunately did have to renew my lease (it expires July 31 and my deadline for responding to my landlord’s offer was 6/20). Not ideal timing at all, but I’m hoping my landlord will be lenient in letting me break the lease given that my current unit is rent stabilized with a preferential rent and they’re likely going to be able to get significantly more rent with a new tenant.

has anyones gotten any offers in the past two weeks or so?

Kind of frustrating that they told me I’d get an offer last week and I still haven’t received anything but I don’t want to be pushy and keep calling them :/

I totally feel your frustration! I keep coming back here hoping someone says they got an offer for a 2 bedroom. I called today but didn’t get to speak to anyone . I am so stressed that it won’t be weeks ways but months after they told me I should get a call by the 15 probably especially since lower number logs are also waiting. I am 6xxx

Does the minimum income figure for continued eligibility include IRA & 401 withdrawals?

Basically, can you reach the minimum income for eligibility simply by combining your Social Security and the taxable income from a retirement account withdrawal?

Thanks in advance to anyone who knows for sure!

Interesting question. If they do count this could be a way to get over a hurdle. Might be even be worth taxes and penalties if they apply, for example for early withdrawal.

My GUESS is they do count as income just as SSA benefits, and pension benefits are seen as income.

My move in date is officially 3 weeks away!! I wish it was tomorrow tbqh. Getting all these moving company quotes is ... annoying to say the least. And the act of actually packing is also annoying. But its all good in the end. For anyone who actually live there already how is move in day? The truck can double park in the loop? And how does the door situation work? We have to keep buzzing in or can you prop it open?

Thank you so much for this. From what I can gather from the Income Guide, distributions are indeed treated as income (I assume they mean distributions from an IRA or 401K).

This is a relevant issue for me since I am planning to retire by the end of this year and, from what I'm gathering from various contributors to this thread, I could be waiting quite a while for a 1 bedroom apartment to become available. (my lottery number is 63xx). This could be all for the better since my income will be much lower next year than it is this year (which theoretically should mean a lower permanent rent).
