Keep going with both, never which one will work out. Dont want to lose opportunity. You can always withdraw before lease signing.

This is a great point. Don’t lose opportunities.

The one bedrooms aren't worth it honestly. But my wants and needs are different from yours.

I would still go and look at it for yourself and continue the process for both.

You mean the lottery versions right? Because apparently the market rate versions are better.

iAfford did another tour of a 1 bedroom and studio on their IG today and the 1bedroom is a joke. I was kinda shocked tbh. I've seen plenty of other lottery apartments for less than $2400 with wayyyy more space.

That’s sad.

The lottery 1-beds and studios suck. Very small, with some 1-beds in the 480sqft range. The real winners are the 2-beds which are same size as market rate (albeit with cheaper finishes)

1 BP's location is amazing though - super convenient for me and close to work. I'll be choosing between 550 Prospect Place and 1BP. Both have their pros and cons. It's a hard choice

If I was approved for both of those--at this very moment even with all the negatives considered--I would go with 1 Boerum. Just my thoughts.

@Digital Nomad - curious to hear why you’d choose 1BP over 550 Prospect?

For some reason there isn’t much excitement around 550 Prospect here, even though the location is decent and units are larger and cheaper than 1BP’s (though it doesn't have a doorman).

1BP has a more convenient location and amazing amenities. Having a doorman is actually a con for me. My job requires me to travel often, and I'd want to sublet my place when I'm out of town. Of course would abide by all the HPD rules, maintain it as my primary residence, and would not be looking to make a profit, but it’s so much less stressful to sublet when there isn’t a doorman
