i JUST got a call from a leasing agent about two minutes before i started this reply. he said he is going to send me an e-mail requesting more documents and then he'll send them to HDC.
he asked me if i was still interested, since i'm so far away. i said yes, only if one-bedrooms were available (because i'm not moving that far out for a studio).
Is it possible you’d be able to find out if there are many studios/1 bedrooms left?

so the leasing agent contacted me again and sent me request for more docs plus an interview packet. five days notice.
i'm puzzled and unsure if i should pursue this tbh because i will be so far removed from friends, family, AND work! it's so out of the way :/ i wish i had a building closer to me..
not sure if i should move forward and just see how far i can go or if i should just say **** it

its so crazy to me how they asked for documents on 6/7 and i havent heard anything yet.
that happened to me before a few years ago for the wilfrid apartments here in the bronx... i had CB preference there... i had a high log number, though, but i didn't think it mattered since they had finally reached mine. i sent in all my documents ASAP and never heard from them again. this process can be so discouraging— even now that the only building to have contacted me for only a consideration isn't even accessible for me!
just gota keep keeping on. i hope they reach out to you sooner rather than later!!!
