I have a question about employment verification. About to send over my signed release of information, but I’m kinda nervous because I used to work at an extremely disorganized startup. The HR team (typically just one person lol) is changing every couple of months due to high turnover rates, and my resignation letter from them has contact information but I’m not even sure if that person works there anymore. What happens if HR cannot be reached, do they send a letter to the company’s address, or send me to notarize more documents?

I don't know if this is written anywhere but I had a marketing agent tell me that they have to make 3 attempts to reach the employer and if they don't get a response, you have to provide a notarized letter verifying the information they were seeking (your employment end date for example).

If you really want to know, I would ask the agent. Or, you could just give them the release and let them come back to you if they are unable to get a response from the employer. In these situations, less is often more and it is often best to only provide exactly the info requested by the agent, no more, no less.

Thank you for this! Alright so my plan is to just let them see for themselves lol, like you said, I can’t be penalized for a company’s organizational shortcomings.

Hi all! I have a couple of questions..

1. For those of you who have viewed the units, how small would you say are the studio apartments? Do you feel as though those units are worth it? Or if I qualify for a 1br too should I try to go for that instead?
2. Those of you who signed a lease, how flexible was the least start date in your experience? My current least ends in May and I would really love to push out the start date for this one as much as possible.

Appreciate any help!

Hi! I did not view the studios but I know the overall sq ft for studio was less than the 1bd. Personally I like a separate living and sleeping situation in my apartment but it’s up to you! As for the lease start date, once you’re approved by HPD, you can set your lease start date for MAX 2 months later. Ie if you were approved today, the latest your least could start would be April 14.

Hope this helps!

I emailed them last week after submitting my initial docs a month ago (log 37xx), and they said they are processing the applications and haven't reached mine yet. They were apologetic for the delay and stated things were taking longer due to the number of applications.

Went on my tour earlier today, oh my lord the units and building itself are gorgeous! We toured 1bed and 2beds but told management we were interested in the 1bed to stay within our budget. The two 1bed units I saw were in the west tower. Both had linear kitchens with a pantry that I mistook for a coat closet/shoe storage lol but it works. Living room is decently sized (can fit a moderately sized couch and a 2 maybe 4 seater dining table depending on how you arrange it) and the bedrooms are the average modern building size (small as hell). However, what won me over was the walk in closet, which is large enough to fit two people’s entire in my opinion. The bathroom is also absolutely gorgeous. The views are great two, the apartment that we preferred had views of the little park area (which is open to the public but it seems like it’s mostly residents that hang out there since I saw a lot of dog owners). The laundry room is also gigantic, really clean, and has separate washer and dryer machines for people washing anything pet-related which I appreciate. Also, there’s an actual dog grooming service in the cellar. It’s called throw me a bone and they run dog grooming salons and daycares in two other luxury buildings and the woman who gave us the tour said that they also provide dog sitting and dog walking services, and we passed by two employees walking multiple dogs. Overall, my fingers are crossed extra tight, anything can happen so of course I won’t get my hopes up super high, but it absolutely seems like a lovely place to live and it was wonderful to tour.

Hi! I am log number 30**. I was asked to submit docs ages ago and sent them all in on Nov 20, 2023. Since then my application has still been under review. The Pacific Park Apartments company told me an eligibility specialist was assigned to my file. From there they would review and reach out regarding any additional info. Does it normally take months for them to reach out? They also said I could email them documents in an email just to have it be up to date, but I figured I'd just wait for the eligibility specialist to get back to me with exactly what they need. Any insight appreciated. Thanks!
